Don’t Use Webhostingpad

Well the saga continues with my web server, Webhostingpad.  I have just spent all day sending emails back and forth with them.  They keep telling me there is nothing wrong with my websites and yet funny thing is I can not get on them.  Hmmm…. that seems to be a problem with me.

This has been going on for 3-4 days now and I can not get into my websites to do any work.  I am getting just a little aggravated!!!!!!!

Oh, for sure I will let you know how things go.  I am not done with them yet.

Webhostingpad no longer my Favorite

I have been a huge fan of Webhostingpad as my own webserve for over a year now.  But suddenly, not so much a fan any more.  I am not sure what is going on with them, maybe they are growing to fast and can’t keep up with the growth, but, their service sucks as of late.My website is up and running, but I have not been able to get into it for days to do any work on it.  I have contact customer service several times and no one has gotten back to me.  This is not the Webhostingpad that I had come to love.

I am very disappointed in Webhostingpad and at this point would no longer recommend them to any of my clientele.  I will let you know how things go in the coming days and weeks, but right now stay clear of Webhostingpad

Don’t Be Afraid To Tell People What Your Business Is

If you don’t tell people what you do, they are never going to buy from you.  There is a right way and a wrong way to approach this though.  I found this great article on how to let people know what you are doing in your home party plan business, and I thought I would share it with you.

8 Ways To Let People Know What You’re Doing

At the end of my direct sales presentation Kathy asked if she could book a party. When I went to do her show I was surprised to see another consultant, Lisa, at Kathy’s show. I asked Lisa how she knew Kathy and she said with a nervous giggle, “Well, I babysat her kids since they moved here. Kathy didn’t realize I’m with this direct selling company so she invited me. That’s okay because I wanted to see your presentation.”

Well, it wasn’t okay. This shouldn’t have been my booking. It should have been Lisa’s. Are you like Lisa? Are you being invited to home party plan demonstrations of your own products? There are many ways to let people know you’re in direct sales. Here’s just a few of them.

1. Never leave home without your business card, catalog, the brochure for this month’s specials, and recruiting information. You never know who you could be giving this information to.

2. Never take your catalog apart and put the pages in plastic sleeves so you can use the catalogs for the season. Instead, encourage your guest to take your catalog with them. I’ve gotten huge phone sales and bookings from people I’ve never met because they got my catalog from someone attending my show.

3. Set up a booth at your county fair, summer festival, craft shows, and bridal shows. Go any place where people are gathering.

4. Wear something that has your company name on it. I’ve booked parties at the grocery store because I wore my logo shirt.

5. Mention what you’re doing in your holiday letter. I live in Wisconsin and have gotten phone orders and book-shows from relatives in California because they knew what I was doing.

6, Be a product of your product. In other words bring your products to every event you can think of. Do you sell baskets? Are you going to a pot luck? Make sure you bring your dish in a basket you sell.

7. Is the PTA, or another group having an auction or need a door prize? Provide them a product or a gift certificate. Of course tuck in your business card and catalog.

8. Give your products as gifts.

Getting your name out there, letting people know what you do, will increase your sales, bookings, and recruiting. If you don’t see the need to let people know what you’re doing, don’t be surprised if you’re invited to a demonstration of your own products.

4 Tips To A Happy Hostess

4 Tips To A Happy Hostess

The true secret to home party success, is a happy hostess. A happy hostess is motivated to get people to her party and can be a big help in getting the people at her party to buy your products. It really doesn’t matter if you are holding the party in your hostesses home or having an online party.  A happy hostess means the difference between great sales or mediocre sales. Here are some tips for keeping your hostess happy and excited about her party.
Get Her Excited About Her Own Party
The first thing you should do is get your hostess excited about all the free and discounted products that she can receive by having a fantastic party. Help her become enthusiastic by showing her all the great items that she will get. She will be thrilled to do what she can to have a great party.
Train Your Hostess To Hold A Successful Party
Make sure she knows all the ways to ensure her guests attend her party. (Reminding them before the event, personally touching base with them, advertising, etc.) A printout or checklist can really help you here. Guarentee contact with everybody that is supposed to come to the party.  Get your hostess to give you names and email addresses of all those who are supposed to come to the party and you personally contact them and let them know how excited you are to meet them.  Tell them how your hostess is also very excited that they are coming.  Now,they know two people are counting on them being there.
Add an Extra Incentive
Offer your hostess an extra incentive. Is there a particular piece of jewelry that she is just in love with? Perhaps a set of candles or maybe a bath and body set has caught her eye? Set a goal for her to have a certain amount of guests invited to the online party by a set date. Or you could challenge her to have a set dollar amount of sales made before her party. Offer the hostess the item that she wants if, and when, she meets your challenge.
Games and Fun
Plan some super simple games and giveaways during your hostess’s party. People love to have a chance to win something for free and if they need to make a purchase to enter a drawing all the better for your hostess. Everyone will have fun playing the games that you have set up and your hostess will have a blast racking up sales to put toward getting free items.
The Internet is a fantastic resource for finding more ideas that will make for a wonderfully fun party for your hostess and will create a profitable party for yourself.  In the end your success as a home party plan business owner all depends on how happy your hostess is and how well her party goes.  Do everything you can to make your hostess comfortable and happy and your home party plan business will flourish.
